History: here

Personality:
Sanji is, above all things, kind, in a way that the entirety of his existence is drawn to that purpose. As a child, his harsh militaristic father, along with his equally antagonizing brothers, treated him as an outcast because he had too much compassion for those that should be considered beneath him, feeding and caring for different animals found around the castle like turtles and even rats. Even when eventually finding a home on the Baratie restaurant, he was criticized for always choosing to cook and feed the hungry, even when they had no money to pay or were considered an enemy. Sanji's tendency to lean towards kind acts is what drew Luffy to ask him to join his crew as his cook, prior to even tasting his food, because Sanji's willingness to care for other beings no matter their alliance or despite the risks comes rare in a world where pirates are expected to be brutal and unforgiving.

Though Sanji leans towards kind acts, it doesn't leave him defenseless to be completely naive either, having shown that he's, in fact, incredibly perceptive. When confronting situations that some like Luffy are ready to jump into without thinking, Sanji often holds him back to tell him to think more sensibly. Even in cases that have some of the crew unquestionably positive about their options, Sanji's ready to present possibilities that stem more in reality as a way to keep their heads clear and their guards up. This attitude of looking more closely to the details tends to have Sanji sometimes disappear amongst a group setting, in order to take care of things quietly in the background that others might not have thought of, such as when he disappears while the group is fighting the Marines at Enies Lobby, in order to close the gates that would set on the surrounding whirlpools, having had the perception to realize they would help them with their escape.

But as perceptive and sensible as he could be, that doesn't prevent Sanji from becoming quite emotional, especially when it comes to having a bit of a short fuse and losing his temper. This especially comes up often when he's engaged in fights, some as childish and petty as his arguments with Zoro, where even the smallest, most simple insult from the other man can have him break out in bickering swears. Mostly, though, it surfaces when he's confronting villains, particularly those aiming to harm his friends, where he doesn't hold back in his aggression and fiery nature, so much so that even his leg lights up in flames as a symbol of this nature.

What tends to stand out most, though, is Sanji's devotion to being chivalrous. While his kind nature can stem towards anyone, even the worst of his enemies, Sanji's personal code is particularly wrapped around his intentions in never harming and always respecting women. Even in situations where his own life is threatened, and he'd die if he doesn't fight back, Sanji will never use aggression or violence against a woman, limiting himself to merely blocking attacks but only in cases where self-defense won't cause direct harm to them. Addtionally, in moments where women are emotionally cruel, Sanji will always find excuses to explain their intentions, never giving in to faulting them for any reason. In turn, this makes him even more passionately devoted towards keeping them safe, going as far as to be able to "sense them crying" from an entirely different room (though this could theoretically be credited to his Haki ability) and will always put up a stronger fight against an enemy if he sees that they're intentionally trying to hurt a lady.

Sanji's protective nature, though, isn't limited to women and, in fact, his entire self purpose is built around being able to look out for and care for his crew. Though his primary objective in conveying this is in cooking food for them and keeping them healthy on their journey, even always keeping in mind what their favorite meals are in order to keep them as equally happy, he also portrays this with his way of fighting. As opposed to someone like Zoro, whose fights are based around strength and getting stronger, Sanji's fights are based around the specific intent of protecting those around him, even ceasing a fight once he's confident his crew is out of harm's way. His specific fighting style is even an extension of this, since he fights only with his legs as a way to never bring harm to his hands, which are used solely for cooking for and feeding his friends.

Abilities:
Cooking: Sanji's most well known talent is in being able to cook nearly any meal he sets his mind too. Originally self-taught at a young age, he continued to expand his abilities under the guidance of the Captain of the Cook Pirates, Zeff, Sanji is capable of using any ingredients at his disposal to put together a meal that is as equally delicious as it is edible. He's even able to simply sample a taste of a dish and be able to guess the ingredients used and even put the full recipe together in his mind.

Physical Capabilities: When was he born, Sanji was put through genetic experimentation which was meant to enhance his body, but due to inference from his mother, these enhancements have remained dormant (and currently remain so, as of his canon point). However, despite the lack of access to these enhancements, Sanji has undergone heavy training from the pirate Zeff since he was a child, which has granted him much greater strength than average, incredible endurance against severe beatings, and impressive speed capable of dodging bullets. His vast strength is often utilized in his use of kicks through martial arts, managing attacks with his legs that have knocked away someone weighing at least 600 pounds, as well as buildings and giant sea monsters.

Diable Jambe: This is a leg-based attack in which Sanji is capable of raising the heat in his legs to high temperatures to the point that they light on fire, which in turn allows him great tolerance against heat. Though it is assumed that this ability is credited to the genetic modification he experienced, Sanji claims it's only because he has so much "passion".

Sky Walk: Sanji experienced such great training through running that he taught himself the ability to walk on air. Though not quite flying, he's still capable of leaping to great heights and traveling far speeds through this trick.

Haki: In canon, Haki refers to a power in which the user is capable of using their spiritual energy to accomplish various abilities. Sanji is shown to use two types: Kenbunshoku Haki, which is a sixth sense that allows him to sense the presence, strength, and emotions of others (this tends to be more of a vague awareness rather than any direct detailed mind reading), and Busoshoku Haki, which can allow him to use his own spiritual energy to create a protective armor through his body.

Inventory: Sanji would have a bag of some basic cooking supplies (a small pot, a small pan, measuring cups, cooking utensils, quality knives, etc.), his signature pink apron, a collection of magical handkerchiefs that make any fluids instantly disappear (CRAU), and two sets of his good suits.

Eternal Reward: Sanji wants nothing more than to save the lives of his crew and that of his blood family from Big Mom's plans to have them all killed. Originally, he'd attempted to agree to an arranged marriage to keep the peace, but once he'd realized that Big Mom's intentions were to kill the entire Vinsmoke family and to not let Luffy and his friends leave the island unharmed, he'd realized even trying to give up his own life for the good of everybody was worthless and made no difference. No matter what happens to him, he just wants them all to be safe.

Goals/Ideas: Sanji has a lot of issues when it comes to valuing his own self-worth and he's always willing to throw away his own life for others. I mostly want him to use his time in the setting to explore possibilities of things to do with his own life and to really explore his relationships with others to become more comfortable with the idea that he has plenty of importance in other people's lives. He'll always be about taking care of others so he'd potentially explore the idea of opening up a restaurant down the line.
